He worked well with other senior officers and had a close working relationship with the Ship’s Chief Engineer. In the year 2401, the universe was shaken by the terrifying Borg assimilation, a cataclysmic event that left countless lives forever changed. Among those affected was Colton, who found himself thrust into the clutches of the Borg collective. Even though it was for a short time, it was a harrowing experience, as his individuality and essence felt stripped away. However, through a stroke of luck, Colton was locked away in the brig of a Borg vessel, he was unable to harm any of the crew. The experience was a nightmare, as he witnessed the horrors of the Borg firsthand, yet unable to escape. When the ordeal finally came to an end, Colton was left with deep emotional scars and a battle raging within him. The trauma he endured made him question his allegiance to the Federation, tempting him to abandon his service. But instead of succumbing to despair, Colton made the courageous decision to seek counseling and support. Another dark moment was when Teresa told him she was leaving.
