Location: USS Scharnhorst, Gym
Roman had just completed his set, he had places towel down on the bench, he didn't realize that a couple other people had put their stuff down on the bench as well. Without looking and feeling a little embarrassed he reached down to grab Sienna's towel on accident. Both of their hands touched as he went to pick up her towel. You didn't notice that it was pink because he was distracted in his own mind thinking about the day's advance and about the crew of the USS Herophilos. He hoped, they received a help they needed in time.
"Excuse me." Sienna said with a smile. "I think you have the wrong towel." She had just finished her exercise regiment. Something she kept up on. Sienna liked keeping in shape. She waited for him to look at the towel, pink was one of her favorite colors but she doubted it was his.
Roman was a little embarrassed. "My apologies. Sorry about that." He said with a sincere look on his face. "My towel was right next to yours." He suggested to her, to explain his mistake.
"Its an honest mistake." Sienna said with a smile. "I just didn't think you would want to be caught with a pink towel." She thought he waa cute, especially when he looked embarrassed.
"I heard pink looks good on me." He playfully teased, with a big grin on his face. "But it is your towel and I shouldn't have done that, I am truly sorry."
"It's fine." Sienna assured him. "We both laid our towels down in the same area. It could happen to anyone." Her eyes met his. "I am Sienna."
"I'm Roman, nice to meet you." He said with the warm smile on his face, and then he went on to say. "Have you eaten yet? I hate to eat alone?"
"I have not." Sienna murmured. "I would be happy to join you." She hated to eat alone as well. Lately, that was what was normal for her.
"Well you just made my night." He said with a big warm smile on his face. Roman knew that line was a little cheesy, but he couldn't help himself.
"If I'm honest." Sienna smiled shyly. "It made mine as well." She didn't want to come across too forward but she didn't believe in playing games."
"So do you want to go on a walk, I'm done with all my sets for the day." Roman pointed out to her, as he grabbed his towel to get ready to stand up and leave.
"Yes." Sienna held her towel in her hand. "I am done as well." She had just been going to leave when he had taken her towel. She looked forward to their walk.
"Are you new to the ship? I just came aboard at Starbase 870." Roman said not really seeing her there. The station was huge and it was very possible they didn't see each other if she had been there.
"I am." Sienna said with a smile. "This is my first assignment since I switched from medical to intelligence." She had been nervous but she knew this was the right direction to go in.
"I think you mean official assignment. I've looked you up, infiltration specialist. I think you're going to probably have an opportunity on this ship to use those skills." Roman suggested to her, not really knowing what her past was but knowing there was a small Gap in there and she was very careful in what she said.
"I am sure I will " Sienna kept a smile on her face. He had looked her up? They had just met, which made her wonder about him.
"I am trying to learn all the names of the senior staff I will be working with on the Scharnhorst. So I reviewed everyone's public file. What's it like working with Starfleet Intelligence?" Roman asked, he was a little envious.
"It is a challenge." Sienna said with a smile. "In a good way and that is what I like about it." She paused. "I am good at puzzles and most of the time it is like doing a puzzle."
"Note to self get her a puzzle for Christmas." I said with a warm-hearted and yet slightly teasing smile on my face.
Sienna laughed softly. She liked his sense of humor. "And what is it that you like to get for Christmas?" She was enjoying this conversation.
"Now where would the fun be in that if I just told you what I wanted?" Roman asked, but the big sincere smirk on his face. She would have to work a little harder than that if she wanted to know the answer.
"I like puzzles. Sienna said with a smile. "I will figure you out, dont under estimate me."
"It sounds like a challenge, I love it. But this means I get to figure you out too." Roman said with a warm loving smile.
Sienna smiled back at him. "One of the best things when meeting someone. I look forward to it."
"Well I hope I'm living up to your expectations now." Ramon said, trying to sound cute and romantic. Hoping that he didn't fumble up too bad.
"You are." Sienna said, her honesty showed in her eyes. It had been a long time since you opened herself up like this. Once burned, twice shy. Roman just stirred something in her.
"Well I'm happy to hear it, because you're also exceeding my expectations. I just have this feeling that there's something special about you." Ramon said, at first he was going to keep his feelings bottled up but he decided giving her a taste of how he felt at this moment would be good.
Sienna blinked at his words and then smiled. "It makes me happy to hear you say that. I felt the same when we first met. Like you were going to mean a lot to me but I didn't say anything, it seemed to soon and i didn't want to sound cheezy." She looked in his eyes. "I don't want to mess this up."
"I'm not sure what to say. I'm not used to a woman being so forward with their feelings. I guess in the past I've always gone after the girls that like to play head games. But you're different and I appreciate that." Roman suggested to her, a little tongue tied but happy that she opened up.
"I don't believe in playing games." Sienna admitted. "We like each other and it seems like an obstacle to me to pretend that we don't or to try to impress each other." She smiled soflty. "I find it's much better to just be ourselves."
"I couldn't agree more." Ramon said as a scene starts to fade away, with the two of them talking for a bit longer.
