Mission: Episode 1: Shadows of Diplomacy
Location: USS Scharnhorst, Sickbay

Sebastian strolled into sick bay, acting like he owned the place. Which is ironic because he didn't. He walked in as he saw a beautiful red-headed woman walk out burying the rank of an Ensign, just like him. He had no idea who that beautiful bombshell was. He wanted to do a 180 and head back out the doors to catch up with her but then darn pesky physical requirement that was mandatory for all new officers, was now in his way.

"Who was that beauty?" Sebastian asked as he walked over to a bio bet and looked over at nurse Emily Bowden. She was attractive, herself, but there was just something about the unknown redhead that really surprised him. He had no idea that her name was Kaayu Shir.

Emily looked up, blinking in surprise. "I, um...I don't know. She was with Doctor Kennings." She glanced up and down, checking for any obvious injuries. "I'm Nurse Bowman; can I help you?"

Sebastian was a single man, it hoped this wouldn't come back to bite him in the ass. He couldn't help but be a natural flirt. As he flopped up on the bio bed, he said with the big grin. "Well yes you can. beautiful, I'm here for my physical."

Emily's eyes widened a bit at the presumption. "Oh...kay," she said, grabbing a tricorder. "How about we start with your name, rank and position so I can access your file."

"Shouldn't you buy me coffee first?" Sebastian asked, trying to be playfully cute. He took a moment and then said. "Sebastian Aster Roydon, I am an Ensign and I am the best Operations Officer aboard the Scharnhorst."

Emily's eyebrows shot up towards her hairline. She quickly turned and accessed the computer, then frowned. "Okay...that's odd. There must be an issue in the computer. I have the Chief Operations Officer as Lieutenant Commander Virel."

"Ya he is okay, but he can learn thing or two from me." Sebastian said a little cocky, and trying to show off. He knew it was cheesy, but he was really nervous around Emily.

"Right...." Emily said, now eyeing him in a new light. "Well, let's get this started." She activated the biobed and grabbed a tricorder, flipping it open. She scanned him steadily, starting at his head and working her way down. "Any new symptoms to report since you've gotten on board?"

"No, I am peak health. Right Nurse?" Sebastian said, a little worried, since she was a little more on edge from his typical boyish like charms. He watched her scan him with the tricorder.

"So far, yeah," Emily said, looking at the readings. "Still, it's usually a good idea to ask. We all know our own bodies best, right?" she gave a small laugh and adjusted the biobed's readings.

"I feel great, better than great. I will admit there is a lot of distractions on this ship. Best assignment ever that way." Sebastian said, feeling like he was rambling a bit. There was so many attractive ladies on the ship.

"Uh huh," Emily said, having an idea what was distracting him as she closed her tricorder and downloaded the results. "Kind of like how you got distracted by the ensign walking out of here while you were trying to hit on the ensign who stayed behind?"

"What are you suggesting doc?" Sebastian tried to play it off. He knew she wasn't really a doctor, and the nurse, but he's hoping that maybe a little flattery would make her alter her next response. He had a feeling that she was going to call him a Playboy.

"I'm suggesting that three strikes means you're out," Emily said, a small, playful smile on her lips. "You're scans are clean and you're dismissed to go. I'll update your records accordingly."

"Before I go, what three strikes?" Sebastian says he popped off the bed, got ready to head towards the exit. He was curious and what she was talking about. He thought he was being cute and clever.

"One: you openly checked out another girl in front of me before trying to flirt with me," Emily said, holding up one finger at a time. "Two, overly familiar pet names when you barely know my actual name. And three?" She pointed at him. "Never confuse a nurse for a Doctor."

"That third strike should not count, I was teasing. Doc is a common phrase anyone would say to a medical professional." Sebastian quickly explained to her.

"Mm...be that as it may," she said. "Still already have two strikes." She tapped her padd and gave him a professional smile. "But you're still all set. Have a good day, Mister Roydon."

Sebastian just grinned, two strikes still meant he was in the game. He left sickbay with his held up high. He hoped he would see Emily or the mystery girl again soon.

After he left, Darla came out from her office, her violet eyes twinkling with amusement. "You handled that well. The cute and confident ones can be handful."

"I have three older brothers," Emily sighed. "I've heard it all. Long as his hands don't misbehave, there isn't much he can say to me that will rattle me, no matter how cute he is."

Darla laughed. "Well, good job. Carry on."

Emily smiled and nodded. "Yes, Doctor."
